Kaye & Alan – pre-wedding shoot 28th April, 2011

A little bit of sunshine goes a long way. I don’t just mean the light, either. I met up with Kaye and Alan for a quick shoot in Jesmond Dene, Newcastle, ahead of their wedding in August. They were great to work with, happy, smiley, up for trying out whatever ideas I suggested and generally a pleasure to be around. I don’t think either of them are wild about having their photo taken (who is?), but that only made it all the nicer that they went for it so gamely.

I have an idea (not my own idea, but that’s not the point) to blow one of these shots up and mount it in a wide card mount so that people arriving at the reception can sign it and leave a message. I’ve heard of it being done in the USA, but not so much over here, so it may be a nice touch for their wedding that people will remember, and it will give them another keepsake from the day.

They look a happy couple. Signature boards are a great idea, thinking of doing the same myself.

Ahh they do look very smiley! The signature board is well worth looking in to, plus a great advert for your work 😉

Lovely photo. Great idea with the signature board (cant wait to see their wedding photos)

They look like such a lovely couple! I’ve done a signature board – just once I think – and it was a big hit with the guests. It’s a great idea!
